Getting Started

So, this is my first time blogging.  Because of this, I have decided to partake in a challenge to post everyday in May.  Today is May 1 and the first prompt of this challenge is to tell the story of your life in 250 words or less.  Here goes.

My name is Corinthia and I am a daughter of the one True King.  I am incredibly blessed with the best family and friends anyone could ask for.  I’ve had the privilege of growing up in Tallahassee, Florida and Sanford, North Carolina, and now am blessed to be living in Middle Tennessee.  I am a student at Tennessee Tech and will graduate in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree in Political Science (CANT WAIT!!!).  As for my plans after graduation… well, that’s still ALL up in the air.  I want to do whatever the Lord wants me to do, so I am waiting for Him to open and close doors.  I love to read and love doing crafts.  Currently, I’ve been stuck on cross-stitching and have made quite a few pieces recently.
The past year has definitely been a learning and growing experience.  The Lord has definitely been working on me, shaping and molding me.  As I continue to grow and learn more, I want to write it down.  I will have my ups and downs as all personal walks with Christ have their mountains and their valleys, but like the song says, “Even in the valley, God is Good”…and how true that simple statement has been made to me this past year.
I have been blessed to have two wonderful parents and three younger siblings (yes, I am the stereotypical bossy older sister) whom I miss terribly as they live 7 hours away.  However, I love to travel, which makes visiting them so easy!  My family is definitely obsessed with music and movies.  After dinner especially, we can frequently be found quoting movie lines and just having a ball or while in the car, rocking out to music (with three-part harmony of course).  I love my family and my friends and would not be the woman I am today without them.

I know I went a little long, but since this is my first time, I think it's okay ;)
Join me in my journey as I continue to delight in the Lord!  Psalms 37:4
